Summer Chic: I LOVE KOI SUMMER FASHION SHOW

Another Fashion Adventure with Ms. Kristin C

I LOVE KOI, the posh's fave luxe swimwear, had held it's summer fashion show showcasing it's newest swimwear and Luxe wear at the PrivĂ© Luxury Club in The Fort, Taguig City. Of course with me is Ms. Kristin as always, we've been having a Dora and Boots relationship nowadays; anyway, thanks Kristin for letting me tag along. Sorry if there's a scarcity of visuals here since cameras weren't allowed inside the establishment, and kinda had a dope moment not taking photo before getting in LOL.

There are two reasons why I went to see the show, one was to see what new things I LOVE KOI had in stored for the fashion peeps, and the other one was to witness a blogger-star studded event. Design collaborations with The Plump Pinay, Patricia Prieto, and Tricia Gosingtian were one of the highlights of the night; their designs embodies their style as how the Fashown World knows them.

(Main Collection)
The designs ranged from cute to phenomenal, an indication that I LOVE KOI can capture a wide range of those Fashionista Summerista girls. So for those girls that are planning for a last minute summer extravanganza try checking out I LOVE KOI.

Donning my favorite Blazer with a distressed old white shirt a custom-made blue shorts with my summer themed fedora and espadrilles from Hawk, I was unable to get inside the venue. But luckily Ms. K's place is nearby; so I've put on a pair of her white wide leg pants, that fitted me perfectly, and hopped on a cab back to Prive. (didn't able to get a photo of the ensemble though)

The Hidden Treasures of Makati: Fashion Haven Chronicles

Hi Guys! here's an update to my agenda on my last blog "Plans.for.today.4/16/2012".

So last April 16th I went to Makati with my friend and co-blogger Kristin, I have had always admire her clothes having these vintage and frilly feel which I have thought to be very expensive. Little did I know that Ms. Kristin here has a secret a fashion haven kept inside the Makati's concrete jungle.

(TRUMPETS SINGS!) Makati Cinema Square. Yes, for all those young fashionista girls and guys out there who lack a little moolah should check this out.

A map to Makati Cinema Square
Inside the said establishments are series of thrift stores where you could get hundreds of FASHOWN pieces that you could mix and match to your liking. Tank Tops, Pants, Shorts, Skirt, Blouse, Polos, Shirts, Blazers, Coats, Shoes, Bags, name it and they have it there. (except for accessories though)

There are two stores that caught me eye and my pocket, one is Mohara, and the other one is unnamed. (there were no signage or any names posted) Mohara is a bit more expensive than the other one, but you'll surely drown with what she has to offer; while the other shop was smaller, but in my opinion, is more fashion.

You guys are probably curious about the price range... Well, Mohara's price range goes to 50php to 260php, while unnnamed store goes to 20php to 700php (for complicated trenches shipped from other countries). With my 600php that time I was able to get 2 blazers for 50php each, a denim jacket for 50, a hippie jacket for 150, a summer trench for 290, and 4 tops for 100php only. In summary 9 clothes for 600php ONLY.

Check it out yourselves guys I'm sure you'll definitely enjoy the experience.

Equipped and Ready!!

It had been a while since I've sent my resumes on dozens of companies that would help me get to my dream job, and the idea of a response is becoming absurd. Well little did I know that someone would call me earlier today, I was actually putting out the garbage when the HR called. :p

And as expected they did not know how to waste time for I'll be having my interview tomorrow 9am.
Good luck to me!

LET THE GAMES BEGIN! :)

A TRIP TO ATC: A TRIP TO FILL MY TUMMY

An extremely late post, sorry I got a bit lazy last few weeks ^^p. I'll be a foodie on this post, but will still squeeze in a pint of fashion, my first love :p

A month ago my friend Sumi Go (food blogger, check out her site for cool places to dine in) invited me to join a focus group for Studio Kitchen, a resto in Alabang (located on Commerce Center Building's 2nd floor, above Army Navy). And indeed I'm damn lucky to have this experience.

It was my very first time to critique a resto or be a member of a focus group on that matter. So Sumi and I arrived a bit late, since we're not familiar with the south's terrain, we got a bit lost as we had a wild goose hunt with Studio Kitchen lol. Based on what I've heard Studio Kitchen is supposed to be a fine dinning restaurant, but I beg to differ, with it's minimalist textural walls to it's simple rectangular tables and leather seats it appeals to me as a bistro with an exquisite taste. I loved the mood of it's interior design a very modern casual approach that gave comfy a new description.

to rate its ambiance I'll give it a 4 out of 5 score.

Food wasn't immediately served since scarcity on hands were apparent at that time, But we didn't consider it a huge thing on our table, and the Owner/Chef did apologize on that matter. But there were two things that did bother me and my friends since there were no change of utensils every after meal, and the waitresses were a bit slow with their actions.

I'd rate their service a 3.5 out of 5.

Leggo to the food (YUM!)

Their dishes were nice but nothing much special on the taste. For me something is lacking, plus in my opinion the chef uses too much oil, which is evident since it's oozing out of the dishes. But a few dishes stood out for me, the vegies from their Fresh Crab Salad is way better that the Fresh Green Salad, and their Dutch Veal Cheeks were sublime. But what caught my attention and my most loved was their desserts, TRULY YUM!  ^^.

to rate its wonderful meal I'd give Studio Kitchen a 3 out of 5.

Fresh Green Salad (P300)

Lapu-Lapu Rossejat (P595)

Funghi Pasta Ala Chitarra, Appetizer (P375); Entree (P490)

Braised US Beef Short Rib (P695)

Maple Glazed Pork Belly (P540)
